Our small dive and culture tour around Bali will guide
us in seven days to some of the nicest places and best diving sides of the
island of the gods. The tour show you the beauty of nature above and under the Bali
Sea. On the way to our dive sites we pass beautiful rice terraces, mysterious and
remote temples and for sure some Balinese ceremonies.

For thousands of years the thriving marine life
around Bali has remained virtually untouched. This underwater world now offers
a rich array of fish and coral which you find nowhere else in the world. With
diving we can explore this new underwater world. We are sure you’ll gain
unforgettable memories at all of our diving sites in Bali. But the island offers
more! The combination of beautiful, varied diving and plenty to do onshore
makes Bali one of the world’s best destinations for a long dive holiday. Bali
offers some of the best diving sites in the world and the Balines will welcome
you to come in touch with their exotic life as well. In this beautiful area you
can not only dive you will visit temples; you can go tracking or fishing. Bali
is the perfect place to combine all. The island is one of the most beautiful
places on earth: white and black stone secret beaches, blue oceans and mystic
temples at lovely places, rice fields and colourful smells in tropical nights.
If you come in contact with the wonderful friendly Balinese you will agree with
them that their island is a present from god; a piece of heaven fallen from the
sky. This apply to the area above and under the blue Indian Ocean which is
famous for the variety of species.

We welcome
you at the airport in Bali Denpasar with the the special smell of our Bali
flower Jepun. Our journey will bring us along the ocean road and along
beautiful rice terraces to our accommodation in Amed. We will offer you a little
refresher and a typical Balinese Welcome Drink in our restaurant Aroma de la
Mer. A tranquil, contemplating place while watching the sunset with changing
colours over the bays of Karangasem. After check in we will bring you some tea or coffee
and small delicious Balinese cakes to your patio and you can relax at the pool
if you want. After the equipment check we offer you a Balinese buffet in our modern
bamboo restaurant Aroma de la Mer to taste all the different delicious foods Bali
hast o offer while overviewing the bays of the area and the holy Mount Agung.
The sunsets are breathtaking. Some Balinese Dance performance of the local
girls will give us a first impression oft the rich culture of the Island oft he
Gods. Overnight we stay in a nice bungalow with aircondition and mosquito net over
the four poster bed. A beautiful flower arrangement with fresh towls for the
hot shower, for the pool and for diving will be offered from Amed Scuba. Time
is not measured in hours here but by the setting and rising of the sun and the
appearance of the full moon with a gentle sea breeze. Life in Amed continues
onwards as it always has done – with a calmness and tranquility that leaves the
mind and body soothed and peaceful. Amed is known for its tranquility and
authenticity. Our beautiful ocean view bungalows here in Amed are the ideal
intimate haeven to chill, relax and simply enjoy the ocean while Bali goes into
silent mode. The accommodation
includes breakfast, free drinking water and as complimentary early morning coffee and
tea delivered to your patio, fresh towls, room cleaning service every day.
Day 2

After breakfast we drive the equipment down to Jemeluk
beach. Jemeluk is a little quiet traditional fishing village. The people of
Jemeluk live from fishing and salt panning which you can still observe here at
the beach. Our first dive will be in the Bay of Jemeluk. Here we find a
wonderful drop off covered with variety of corals and huge sponges. This wall
is full of different species and with many colourful fish, magnificent corals
and huge sponges in a Coral Drop Off. With a traditional Balinese fishing boat
we sail to our second dive spot at Amed Ghost Bay with a coral garden slope, (beginners
can stay inside the bay without currents if they prefer) followed by a drop off
with a smooth drift. Turtles are often seen here. The boat will follow us till
the end of our dive.

After the dives, the lunch and a break we have the
option to see the beautiful water palace of Tirta Ganga. Here we can swim in royal
fresh water pools or relax with a tea overviewing the rice padies. A relaxed
walk into the rice fields is possible as well. We will stay another night in
our accommodation in Amed Scuba. It is possible to do a night dive in Jemeluk
Bay. At the bar we will have some life music.
Day 3
Before Sunrise after a coffe/tea and some cakes we go
for our Early Morning Dive in the
US. Liberty. Here we will see the Bumbhead
Parotfishes in the morning. A group of the Parrotfishes are waiting infront of the
125 meter long vessel for sunrise to leave for breakfast. In the morning we can
sometimes see the huge barracuda and white tip reef sharks. We can spot as well
a lot of macro in the wreck like nudibranches, pygmee seahorses, leave fishes
etc. The American ship was torpedoed by the Japanese in the Second World War in
the Street of Lombok and sank at the beach in Tulamben it is fully covered with
corals and home for many different kind of reef fishes. After one hour surface
intervall we do our second dive as you wish in the Tulamen Drop Off or another
dive in the shipwreck oft he US. Liberty.

On the way back we can show you a traditional Balinese
village living from the production of Arak. Here we can test the highproof
spirit from the palm tree in its different taste varieties. Lunch will be
served like allways in Aroma de la Mer after we return from our morning dives. You
can go snorkelling, relax at the beach or with a traditional Balinese massage. A
specialty food of the area which you really should not miss, is the famous Babi
Guling or Bebec Betutu. Ask us if you want to know more! We recommend Aroma de
la Mer the restaurant, where you can enjoy the fresh seafood which comes directly
from the fisherman to our plate for very fair prices.

with rice. Or try the tasty Sate Lilith- spicy fish skewer - or Pepes Ikan,
spicy fish in banana leave.

A night dive in the US. Liberty is possible and a
really amazing experience. Big groupers are hunting, Spaish Dancers are dancing
and the Bumbhead Parrotfish will come back to sleep in the shipwreck.
Non Divers will be offered a half day in the
Spa with a Spa Package including: Balinese Massage with Scrub and Warm Oil,
Food Massage and Facial (Spa Package: around 3,5 hours)
Day 4
Straight after breakfast we dive right from the beach at
the beautiful and colourful cora
l garden of the Japanese Wreck. The shipwreck
sank close to the beach. Here we can see a lots of reef fish and an amazing
coral garden slope with lots of nudibranches, shrimps and reef life. Sometimes
a white tip reef shark is sleeping under huge table corals. The second dive
shows us interesting coral formations with lots of Critters. Or for very
experienced divers we can go by boat to Gili Selang for a current dive in a
breathtaking coral garden.

At the
afternoon after the lunch we offer a tour to see the salt panning in Amed and
visit the summer palace oft he last king of Karangasem the waterpalace Ujung.
Supported by the World Bank Ujung shows different
styles of architecture from
Balinese to European and Chinese. The palace was built in 1920 and a big part
of it was destroyed by the lava of the Gunung Agung from 1963. The palace was
rebuilt again and we get an impression of the life of the old Balinese king and
his hundreds of wifes. After Ujung palace we will visit a choklat factory and
the White Sand Virgin Beach to relax. It is a perfect location for relaxation
on pristine white sandy beach, some swimming in the blue ocean and to enjoy a
walk at a white sand.

For non Divers we offer a tour to the Besakih
mother temple, a rafting tour in the center of Bali where we can see the lash
tropical green of a Balinese mainly untouched valley with waterfalls from the
side of the mountains and a buffet after the smooth rafting tour is offered.
Day 5
Before sunrise we drive to Padang Bai to catch the
fast boat for our dives with the Manta
Rays and hopefully with Mola molas infront of the island Nusa Penida.
We can do three dives here. Our boat will guide us to the dive sites on Nusa Penida.
We can choose to dive in Crystal Bay, Manta Point or in SD. It is also possible
to visit other dive sites on this island. It is up to our skills and the
conditions oft he day! We serve lunch on the boat. After the dives and a cosy
break we can visit the Bad Cave temple (Goa Lawah) one of the famous nine main
temples of Bali and the old Judge Hall (Kerte Gosa) from Klungkung before we
return to Amed for our last dinner and night in Amed.

Non divers can snorkel with the
Mantas. If there is no interest in snorkeling we can offer you to bring you to
Ubud for a Sightseeing and Shopping Tour. Where we can visit the monkey forest
and make a stop in Jalan Monkey Forest for some shopping.
Day 6

Day 7
Directly
after the breakfast we visit on the way the Melanting temple and a perl farm
before
we go to the office of the Bali Barat national park. Here we take our
boat to the beautiful Menjangan Island which also belongs to the national park.
Fishing is forbidden and we have a good chance to see biger fish. On the island
you find the oldest temple of Bali where the Balinese people are celebrating full-moon
ceremonies.

The
first dive will be in Pos Dua along a drop off with caves, covered with huge
Gorgonia fan corals. In the drop off we can spot a lot of coral formation, huge
fish but also reef sharks, pygmea seahorses and nudibranches.

After dinner on the white sand beach you can go
snorkelling, relax or visit one of the oldest temples of Bali on Menjangan
Island with a huge Ganesha statue infront. Depending on the current and your
interest we will decide where we will go for our last dive. After the second
dive we drive to the Menjangan Tower for a small excursion into the Bali Barat
National Park to see the dears, monkeys and some birds in the forest.
